Kim Page

It all began at the age of twelve when I was offered a scholarship to a junior art school to study oil painting, drawing and art appreciation. I majored mostly in portraiture, which lasted for three years. It was then decided that I should go into the printing industry, of which I remained for some years but still had the desire to paint and eventually tried watercolour and worked for many months on its techniques, until I felt I could produce something that resembled its style and manner.

In 1984 I began to paint on a professional level with commissions both in oil and watercolour and in 1993 started to tutor in Wiltshire and the Lake District. I now tutor in Suffolk each year.

I hold my own regular workshops locally and demonstrate at various art societies, which includes appraisal and workshops.

I exhibited in various galleries in the UK and in my local area and won the 2000 calendar prize of £3000 for the Millennium Competition with the Woking Borough Council.

I have some hobbies, which are travelling, music, playing the oboe, visiting galleries and museums. Playing squash and walking.
